The Budget Committee of the Ho West District Assembly held its meeting on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the District Assembly Hall to discuss the 2023 Second Quarter Financial Performance Report, 2023 Mid year Budget Performance Report and Reviewed the 2023 Annual Composite Budget.
The District Coordinating Director, Mr. Wisdom Kporngor in his welcome address stressed the importance of evaluating the Assembly’s financial performance and making necessary adjustments for the remaining period of the year . He urged members to propose strategies and innovative approaches that would assist the Assembly in generating revenue.
During the meeting, the 2023 Composite Budget was discussed, which outlines the financial plan for the entire year. Additionally, the committee reviewed the 2023 Second Quarter Budget to evaluate how actual revenue and expenditures performed as compared to projected figures.
Furthermore, a comprehensive mid-year review was conducted, assessing the financial performance and identifying any necessary adjustments, opportunities, and challenges to ensure the fiscal goal for the year is achieved.
In his closing remarks, the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Wisdom Kporngor, reiterated the need to maximize revenue generation and optimize the available resources to accomplish the district’s development goal. He also called for the collective responsibility of all members to play active role in Mobilizing IGF to ugment the implementation of programmes/projects earmarked for the year.
